IV. Approval of Minutes from the January 9, 2011 BOD Meeting
Dave Wilbrecht motioned to approve the minutes as amended, Bill Taylor second, Kirk Stapp abstained. Motion passed with a 5-0 vote.
V. Discussion and Approval of Luis Villanueva to MLH Board of Directors
After introductions of Luis and the Board members Bill moved to appoint Luis Villanueva to the Mammoth Lakes Housing board thereby filling the vacant seat. Jim Smith second the motion with a final vote of 6-0.
VI. Review of Fiscal Year 2011-2012 Second Quarter Financials
Information only item. Board thoroughly reviewed and discussed the second quarter financials. No action taken.
VII. Mammoth Lakes Housing Marketing Update
The strategy is being developed. The completion of the Star Apartments’ rehabilitation was coved by the Inyo Register, Mammoth Times, KMMT and their affiliate, KRHV. The various down payment assistance programs MLH administers are being advertised with KMMT. This fiscal year MLH has been advertising quarterly though various local media. Pam Hennarty will be going before the Town Council in early March to present the organization’s Status Report per the contract with The Town.
VIII. Board Member Reports
Larry Johnston discussed the County’s collaboration with Inyo County to apply for Clean Air Program (CAP) funding.
IX. MLH Monthly Status Report
• Pam, as previously reported, will be delivering one of the two per year status reports to the Town Council in early March.
• Additionally there will be a Public Hearing for a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) application. This application will be again for an acquisition/rehabilitation grant such as the one used at 1829 Old Mammoth Road.
• The City of Bishop Public Hearing will be held Monday, February 13th.
• Seeking input from Inyo County on their possible interest in applying for CDBG funding.
CLOSED SESSION
X. Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9, the Board will hold a closed session to discuss pending litigation.
Staff direction was given, no action taken.
