Members present: Bill Taylor, Jim Smith for Rusty Gregory, Kirk Stapp, Larry Johnston, and Rick Wood

Public: Leigh Gaasch

III. Public Comments
Leigh Gaasch announced that she is seeking agencies that would be willing and able to help bring the Sierra Valley Sites together. Specifically Leigh would like to see garbage picked up in the neighborhood and would like to see Buckingham Property Managers (managers of the three MLH partnership properties) wearing MLH logo-wear while working at the properties. Additionally she expressed concern of possible liability when clients of the adjacent property to Manzanita Apartments drive on the property between the apartments and the Frontage Road.

IV. Approval of Minutes from the August 1, 2011 BOD Meeting
Bill Taylor motioned to approve minutes as presented, Rick Wood second the motion. Larry Johnston and Jim Smith abstained for a 3-0 approval of the motion.

V. Board of Directors Make-up Discussion
Board member replacement of the vacant seat left by Sandra Facincani’s is ongoing.

VI. Discussion of communication with IMACA regarding housing opportunities
Executive Director, Pam Hennarty informed the Board of discussions taking place between MLH and IMACA regarding their housing services and facilities as well as possible future housing developments in the City of Bishop. More information is needed and Pam will keep the board abreast as more information becomes available.

VII. Board Member Reports
Rick announced the Council’s September 28 meeting to further discuss negotiations with MLLA.

VIII. MLH Monthly Status Report
New report format presented by Pam based on scope of work in the contract with the Town. See attached

IX. Pursuant to Government Code Section 24956.8, the Board will hold a closed session to discuss property negotiations- Multiple Properties
No action taken.
