As experts in affordable housing, MLH staff provide professional consulting services to jurisdictions, businesses, developers, and other nonprofit organizations on issues such as Housing Element Law, Inclusionary Zoning, best practices, housing case law, and much more. Property Management

As an additional source of revenue, MLH staff manages a 4-unit affordable apartment complex, 1 individual condominium unit, a commercial property, and has a Lease-to-Own program. This additional skill set, allows MLH to secure additional funding while maintaining the affordability of homes within the Town of Mammoth Lakes.

Home Ownership Counseling

In an effort to promote local sustainable home ownership, Mammoth Lakes Housing offers home ownership and foreclosure counseling services. Staff members are qualified to help clients navigate all phases of the home ownership process and ensure that they are up to date with the best information and skills – from housing counseling and financial literacy to loan servicing, collection, foreclosure intervention, and much more.

In addition to holding bi-annual public workshops on local home ownership issues, staff is available to meet with you one-on-one to answer your specific questions on a number of concerns including:

Grants Administration

Mammoth Lakes Housing, Inc. leverages State and Federal grant funding on behalf of multiple jurisdictions throughout the region. Grants funds, including funding for local administration, have been secured through the Community Development Block Grant program (CDBG), the Home Investment Partnership Program (HOME), and the Building Equity and Growth in Neighborhoods Program (BEGIN), among others.

Fair Housing Resources

The staff of MLH can provide resources regarding Fair Housing law, discriminatory practices, and how to file complaints with the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). For more information, visit our Fair Housing Resources page.
